Intuitive, visual, effective
I use MeisterTask to organize business and personal tasks across my work Mac, home iPad and iPhone. Ive tried several productivity tools over the years, but always reverted back to more manual ways of visually brainstorming and organizing activities. This is the first tool to really "stick" and make me think Id be lost without it. I have evolved to five "pages" for lists of Business tasks by category, Business agendas by topic, Business 1x1 topics by person, Personal reminders by area of life, and Fun things to do if I ever remember to take a break. I like that I can easily add an item to any of these areas if I take an action item in a meeting or wake up in the middle of the night with an idea. My devices remain synced so I always have the most current version on hand. Each morning I review the main Business tasks and highlight the days priorities. Periodically I do a thorough review and clean up. I do not use it as a collaboration tool with others.
There are a few minor things I would change. You have to open a task to mark it complete, then click another button to archive it, then another to close the task. I would like to be able to do all that with fewer clicks, especially when Im doing a mass-cleanup. There are colors and icons to provide visual cues for different areas, but Ive now used them all and have duplication across areas which undermines the effectiveness. I would like to be able to insert images as well...such as an employees photo at top of list of 1x1 topics.
Overall, Im delighted with the functionality, quality and user interface.
